Description
Made from solid cast iron, the caulking iron is used with a rawhide mallet to pack oakum into gaps and openings wherever a natural gasket is required.
Commonly used in the marine industry but also useful for working on old buildings, packing traditional oakum caulking into gaps to form a gasket between window and door frames and openings.
Made in the USA since 1826.
